Medical Medicine and Pain Management
Medical Director of Advanced Wellness, Gary L. Yen, M.D. is Board Certified in Physical Medical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine. Dr. Yen grew up in Long Island, NY and subsequently received his medical degree from Ross University. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Stony Brook University. Dr. Yen went on to complete a pain medicine fellowship at RehabNY in Buffalo, NY. During his fellowship training, he was the assistant athletic trainer to the Buffalo Bison which is the Minor League AAA Baseball Team for the Cleveland Indians and the Niagara University Men’s and Women’s Collegiate Hockey team.
Dr. Yen is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation; New Jersey Society of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the International Spine Intervention Society. He was also awarded Top Physician in New Jersey in 2008.
Dr. Yen focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of patients with joint, muscle, nerve, spine and sports related pain and works closely with his patients to achieve maximum pain relief to enhance quality of life. He provides patients with an individual program of integrated pain management therapies, drawing on his expertise in pain medicine and the wide range of treatments available. Dr. Yen has successfully treated thousands of patients without the use of surgery.
Dr Yen offers a full range of treatments for acute and chronic pain, including interventional spine procedures, electrodiagnostic studies, manipulation under anesthesia, trigger point injections, joint injections, epidural steroid injections, facet joint injections, sacroiliac steroid joint injections, medial branch blocks, radiofrequency neurolysis, discography, lumbar endoscopic discectomy and spinal cord stimulation.
Interventional pain management is one of the newest and most exciting specialties in medicine for managing back and neck pain. It represents an exciting frontier and follows the trend of minimally invasive therapy. Dr. Yen is committed to the relief of pain, whether the patient is a long-term sufferer or newly injured.
When not attending to his patients, Dr. Yen is an avid golfer and gourmet cook with a passion for playing the saxophone. He is the proud father of two boys Ethan and Sawyer.
George Randall (Randy) Moshos is a board certified physician assistant whose 24 year history in medicine and the forensic sciences have won him both national and international recognition. He is a graduate of the Long Island University Physician Assistant Program and has been honored by his peers and associates with multiple awards for his achievements both as a physician assistant, educator, and forensic scientist.
Mr. Moshos established his career in the New York metropolitan area as a physician assistant in general practice medicine, before moving into the fields of forensic science, orthopedic surgery and pain management. During his distinguished career, Mr. Moshos has practiced in Washington, DC, as well as Boston, Massachusetts, before returning home to the Jersey Shore.
He has taught multiple courses for medical, legal, law enforcement, and forensic science professionals both within and outside the United States, and has been honored with adjunct faculty appointments with several physician assistant and nursing programs.
Most recently he has served on the faculty of the masters program in biomedical forensic science at the Boston University School of Medicine.
When he is not at work caring for patients, Mr. Moshos enjoys lecturing and teaching forensic science, as well as participating in activities such as cycling, rollerblading and snowboarding.
